SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: POSTCARDS FROM PADDLES EVENT

Paddles needs a vacation and he’s taking Jen with him (hmm we might have that backwards) – but don’t worry, you all will still get to have some fun while they’re away! 

Between January 26th until February 4th, our Daily Magnet Draws will be done a little differently than usual, but we promise it’s going to be a lot of fun!

Here’s how it’s going to work - stick with us, hopefully it makes sense!

Beginning January 26th, 2025 a single daily draw will be posted daily at 9:30AM and will remain open until the next draw is posted the following day. This will continue from January 26th until February 3rd with the details of each draw being posted at 9:30am. 

Your name will get written onto your ballot and put in for the day’s specific draw like usual, however the winner will not be chosen until February 4th.  The only other difference is that while there are still a specific number of ballots needed to cover the value of each draw, we will not limit the total ballots sold per draw. Instead, we’ll be tracking how many extra ballots (above the package value) are sold in each of the draws and total up that value to create a series of BONUS PACKAGES that everyone who enters in one of the Postcards from Paddles draws will be eligible to win! 

• Example: If the day’s package is worth 100 ballots ($2000), but 150 ballots are sold, 50 tickets ($1000 value) go into the “Bonus Package Pot” to create some amazing prize packages that everyone (all 150 ballots) entered will qualify for.

We will be drawing each individual day’s package first, then putting all ballots purchased over the nine draws together to draw the bonus packages from. The number of bonus packages will be determined by how many extra tickets there are, there may only be one bonus package, there may be seven! We’ll all find out on February 4th 2025!  

All of the winners for the draws that ran from January 26th until February 3rd will be chosen throughout the day on February 4th 2025, during which we will have one last special edition package: Paddles Homecoming Celebration Fundraiser. The fundraiser will run from 9:00am on February 4th until 4pm. Please note, entering for the fundraiser draw does not qualify you for the bonus packages - it is separate as all extras for that package will be donated to a charitable organization! If you have any suggestions for charities we should consider for this special fundraiser, please submit them here.

Housekeeping Notes for the Event

• Details of each specific draw will be posted on our BLOG each morning at 9:30am. You can also REGISTER TO THE BLOG to receive emails when the draw details go live. 
• The boys will be doing their best to watch Facebook comments/likes/messages, but the response time may be slightly delayed. As is always the case, your Facebook comments are appreciated, but not required to get in the draw. If you don’t have a like on your comment don’t panic! You’re still in the draw! 
• If you want to send in advance for multiple days, please call the store (613-838-8828). Messages in the etransfers or comments on Facebook that specify the days you want to be in on may get missed, so the best way to ensure ballots are put towards the day you want is to call in and pay for your ballots over the phone.
• Bonus packages will be selected AFTER we know how many extras were sold (on Feb 4th). The contents/total number of bonus packages is as much a surprise for us as it is for you! That’s part of what makes it exciting!
